House of Hope Shelter
The House of Hope Shelter, located off of Merrimack Street in Lowell, MA is a safe, clean and welcoming environment to families in need of an emergency shelter. We provide a stable, well-organized and healthy place for homeless parents and their children.
Our shelter has 3 stories of living space, a common area kitchen and an exceptionally large play area for children, filled with books, toys and crafts to keep them busy. Our volunteers often put together art projects and programs, story time and play time so that our children have entertainment and other explorative opportunities. We also have a very large outdoor play area with a beautiful new jungle gym, swing set and slide!
The House of Hope Shelter staff have gone through rigorous and extensive training so that they are able to assist both existing shelter families and new shelter residents during their stay. It is vital to make each family feel safe, secure and comfortable in our program and we strive to provide them with a comfortable temporary living situation while they deal with their personal challenges. Our team works with each family to provide them with healthcare, education, training and support so that they are eventually able to move into permanent housing and live a productive, successful and happy life.
